Our commitment

DMIS is designed to be usable by all authorised personnel, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance across all pages.

What we've done

Semantic HTML with appropriate landmark regions and headings
All interactive elements are keyboard-navigable
Colour contrast meets WCAG 2.2 AA requirements throughout
All images include descriptive alt text
Form fields have explicit labels
Error messages are programmatically associated with form fields
A skip-to-main-content link is provided on every page
Dyslexia-friendly font mode available in Account Settings
High-contrast mode available in Account Settings
System appearance (light / dark) respects the user's OS preference

Known limitations

No accessibility issues are currently identified. If you experience a problem, please report it so we can address it promptly.

Testing

DMIS was audited for accessibility at v0.5.0 and has been remediated continuously since. Testing uses a combination of automated tools (axe, Lighthouse) and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.

Reporting an issue

If you find an accessibility barrier in DMIS, please contact the Detachment Commander at 148 Detachment. We aim to respond within 5 working days and to resolve confirmed issues within 30 days.

Technical information

DMIS is a Django web application rendered server-side. It uses progressive enhancement — core functionality is available with JavaScript disabled. Supported browsers: current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
